The specialist will focus on ensuring trainees develop safe operating practices and achieve competency in their field. Role Overview
The Industrial Skills Training Specialist – Crane Trainer is responsible for the comprehensive training and evaluation of individuals in mobile crane and heavy equipment operations. This involves conducting assessments and providing instruction to ensure trainees meet required operational and safety standards. The role demands a qualified and experienced crane operator capable of effectively testing, training, and evaluating trainees. Key Responsibilities

Deliver theoretical and practical training programs for mobile crane and heavy equipment operation.
Conduct practical assessments and competency tests to evaluate trainee knowledge, skills, and adherence to safe operating practices.
Instruct trainees on proper mobile crane operation, equipment handling, pre-use inspections, and safe operating procedures.
Monitor trainee performance during practical exercises and provide constructive feedback to enhance operational competency.
Ensure all training activities comply with applicable safety procedures, training standards, and departmental requirements.
Identify trainee strengths and areas for improvement, providing appropriate coaching and additional guidance.
Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance, performance, assessments, and competency results.
Support the development and improvement of training materials, practical exercises, and assessment methods related to crane operations.
Ensure training equipment and practical training areas are used safely and maintained in suitable condition.
Stay updated on industry practices, crane operation standards, and safety requirements.
Qualifications and Experience

2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
Proven experience as a qualified and experienced crane operator.
Demonstrated ability to effectively test, train, and evaluate individuals.
Strong understanding of mobile crane and heavy equipment operations.
In-depth knowledge of safe operating practices and industry safety standards.
