Recreation Experience Expert

About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Recreation Experience Expert to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time role involves serving as a primary resource for all recreational activities available on the property, providing guests with comprehensive information about facilities such as swimming pools, beaches, entertainment rooms, health centers, and children's activity centers. The expert will encourage guest participation, manage registrations, and plan leisure activities to foster a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Inform guests about rules for leisure and fitness facilities, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Monitor activities within leisure facilities and respond to emergency situations according to operating procedures.
• Provide cashier services for facilities that include point-of-sale transactions.
• Assist with private receptions, group activities, and events in leisure facilities.
• Identify and report situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity to a supervisor or manager.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and accessories.
• Report accidents, injuries, and hazardous conditions; adhere to safety training and certification requirements.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, respect confidentiality, and protect company property.
• Welcome and greet guests, anticipate service needs, assist disabled persons, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, including appropriate phone etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships to support team goals.
• Process payments for equipment rental, activities, facility rental, or retail sales.
• Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Read and visually verify information across various formats.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery for damage.
• Enter and retrieve work-related information using computers and point-of-sale systems.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (* kg) independently, and objects over 50 pounds (* kg) with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs or ramps.
• Perform knee extension and flexion movements, including bending, turning, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required Certifications

• CPR Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• Certification in Sports and Leisure Equipment.
• Any additional certifications or training mandated by local and state agencies.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the hospitality sector, based in the Red Sea region. The role requires active engagement with guests and adherence to established safety and service standards.
