Sales Executive – Freight & Logistics Services

Job Summary

Our client a growing logistics and freight-forwarding company is looking for an experienced Sales Executive Freight & Logistics Services to join its team in Jeddah Saudi Arabia.

This position requires candidates with proven hands-on experience selling freight and logistics services within the Saudi market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business managing customer relationships and selling ocean freight (FCL & LCL) air freight and road freight services.

Important: Previous experience in freight-forwarding sales is essential. Candidates with general sales experience unrelated to freight or logistics will not be considered.

Position Summary

The Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying new customers developing business opportunities and converting prospects into active accounts.

The role requires a commercially driven professional with good knowledge of freight pricing customer requirements and the Saudi logistics market.

The successful candidate will manage customers from the initial sales opportunity through quotation negotiation booking shipment execution and payment collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers and genuine business opportunities.
• Promote and sell ocean freight services including FCL and LCL shipments.
• Promote air freight and road transportation solutions.
• Prepare competitive quotations based on customer requirements.
• Follow up on quotations and commercial opportunities.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close sales.
• Develop strong and long-term relationships with customers.
• Manage customers from the initial sales opportunity through booking and shipment execution.
• Follow up on payment collection where required.
• Achieve monthly targets for shipment volume and gross profit.
• Coordinate closely with the operations team to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Monitor freight-market activity competitors and freight rates.
• Maintain accurate records of customers opportunities and sales activities in the company system.
• Regularly follow up with existing and prospective customers.

Which profile are we looking for

• Proven previous experience in freight-forwarding or logistics sales within Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
• Experience selling FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) ocean-freight services.
• Experience in air freight and road freight is preferred.
• Existing customer relationships or an established customer base in the Saudi market would be a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of freight pricing quotations and gross-profit margins.
• Strong sales communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to develop new business and close deals.
• Results-driven and comfortable working against sales targets.
• Strong customer relationship-management skills.
• Good Arabic and English communication skills.
• Valid Saudi driving licence is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with operations teams.
