Steward

Job Summary

We are seeking a detailoriented and efficient Steward to join our team in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. As a Steward you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our food and beverage areas ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests.

• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas dining rooms and food service equipment according to established standards and procedures
• Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials following company guidelines
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of buffets and dining areas
• Maintain cleanliness of dish rooms storage areas and other backofhouse spaces
• Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure proper cleaning of dishes utensils and kitchen tools
• Support the culinary team by restocking clean dishes glassware and utensils
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
• Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and materials
• Participate in deep cleaning projects as scheduled

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role in the hospitality industry (preferred)
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitization techniques for food service areas
• Familiarity with food and beverage equipment and materials
• Understanding of food safety principles and hygiene standards
• Proficiency in using chemical cleaning products safely and effectively
• Experience with proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet use
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
• Food safety certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations in Jeddah Saudi Arabia (preferred)
• Ability to communicate in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
