About the Role

We are seeking a highly competent Senior Technical Office Engineer to join A Project Management Consultancy (PMC) this role you will be a key player in the successful delivery of a major airport infrastructure package. You will bridge the gap between design planning QA/QC and site execution ensuring that all technical deliverables meet international aviation standards project specifications and timeline requirements.

If you have a strong background in infrastructure (roads utilities civil works) and excel at technical coordination this is a prime opportunity to take a leadership role on a high-profile aviation project.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Submittals & Shop Drawings: Lead the review verification and approval processes for contractor shop drawings material submittals and method statements to ensure strict adherence to design intent and project specifications.
  

• Coordination & Clash Resolution: Act as the central technical hub. Coordinate extensively with design teams construction teams QA/QC and planning departments to resolve spatial clashes and technical interfaces.
  

• RFI Management: Review manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors providing clear technically sound engineering solutions to prevent site delays.
  

• Commercial & QTO Support: Perform and review accurate Quantity Take-Offs (QTO) and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) to support commercial evaluations variation orders and Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs).
  

• Planning & Execution Alignment: Work closely with the planning team to align technical deliverables with the project execution schedule ensuring the critical path is maintained.
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering is highly preferred). Mandatory.
  

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of overall experience with proven expertise in technical office roles within heavy infrastructure projects (roads utilities and civil works) at the PMC level.
  

• Hybrid Expertise: A strong combination of both site execution and technical office experience may substitute for pure technical office specialization.
  

• Aviation Experience: Prior experience in airport/airfield projects is a strong advantage.
  

Skills & Certifications

• Technical Proficiency: Extremely strong technical background with an eye for detail.
  

• Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD (Preferred) and familiarity with Primavera P6 (Preferred).
  

• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.
  

• Additional Training: Formal Technical Office or Planning Training is an advantage.
