Senior Android Engineer

About the Role

iSpace is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to enterprise and client-facing mobile applications across multiple markets.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Android development experience and the ability to take ownership of application architecture, code quality, performance, integrations, and production releases.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and reliable application architectures.
• Integrate REST APIs, authentication services, SDKs, and third-party platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, stability, and production issues.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain development and engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with Backend, QA, UI/UX, DevOps, and Delivery teams.
• Manage Google Play releases, updates, and production deployments.
• Contribute to technical estimations, solution design, and implementation discussions.
• Mentor and support other developers when required.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

Requirements:-

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Solid understanding of modern Android architecture and Jetpack components.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and dependency injection.
• Strong experience integrating REST APIs, third-party SDKs, and external services.
• Experience with Firebase and push notifications.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience publishing and maintaining applications on Google Play.
• Good understanding of Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Good understanding of mobile application security, performance, and optimization.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications:-

• Experience working on enterprise mobile applications.
• Experience with SSO, maps, location services, or complex third-party integrations.
• Previous experience in a software house, SaaS company, or system integrator.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience working with multiple applications, clients, or projects simultaneously.
