Role Description The Cost Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza, responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting costs to support effective financial and operational decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include preparing cost analyses for products and operations, maintaining cost accounting records, and reconciling cost accounts with the general ledger. The role involves preparing and reviewing journal entries, assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, and supporting budgeting and variance analysis activities. The Cost Accountant will collaborate with finance and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, ensure accurate allocation of costs, and assist in developing and improving costing methodologies and internal controls. The role also requires preparing regular reports, supporting internal and external audits, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Strong cost accounting and finance skills, including Cost Accounting and Finance, with the ability to analyze product and operational costs.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and performing accurate Journal Entries (Accounting).
• Advanced Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend cost optimization actions.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and common accounting or ERP software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA) are an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site in Giza.
