Opportunity Overview

Our client builds custom AI and automation systems for Western SMBs, from integrations and LLM-powered workflows to bespoke web apps. This is the single most important hire in the business: a senior offshore builder who turns loosely-scoped client problems into live, reliable systems unattended. You will own delivery end-to-end and free the founder to focus on growth.

Role Description

You will be the senior technical builder behind every client sprint, taking a vague brief through to a working, handed-over system without close supervision. Working foundation-first, you will connect services by API, build production automations, and ship bespoke web apps on a modern stack. You will run the delivery cadence directly, joining UK-hours calls, testing on real data, and flagging risks early. The goal is simple: reliable systems clients can self-run.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery - Own client sprints from brief to live handover, foundation-first, without close supervision.
• API integrations - Connect services by webhooks, auth, and REST across CRMs and third-party tools.
• MCP bridges - Stand up MCP servers so tools without native AI hooks answer to an LLM.
• Automation workflows - Build n8n or equivalent multi-step workflows that run reliably in production.
• Full-stack apps - Ship bespoke Next.js and TypeScript apps on Supabase for portals and dashboards.
• LLM implementation - Deploy Claude, OpenAI, and OpenRouter APIs in production with reliable, structured output.
• Delivery cadence - Run recaps, progress updates, and real-data testing, joining UK-hours client calls.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience - 5+ years delivering end-to-end automation and full-stack work for Western clients.
• Workflow automation - Hands-on n8n, Make, or Zapier experience building multi-step workflows that run live.
• Integrations and MCP - Strong API, webhook, and REST experience, including standing up MCP bridges to LLMs.
• AI APIs - Production experience with LLM APIs like Claude, OpenAI, or OpenRouter, plus prompt engineering.
• Full-stack stack - Next.js and React with TypeScript, plus Supabase or Postgres for dashboards.
• Engineering fundamentals - Strong JavaScript and Git fluency with disciplined, foundation-first build habits.
• UK overlap and English - Minimum 4 hours daily overlap with UK hours; clear written and spoken English.

Bonus Qualifications

• Growth tooling - Familiarity with GoHighLevel, Instantly, Meta or Google Ads, Airtable, or scraping tools.
• Public portfolio - A GitHub or n8n portfolio showing live-shipped automation projects, not just demos.
• Founder mindset - Built a small automation or micro-SaaS side-project showing initiative and clear judgement.
