Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our quality assurance team as a Senior Software Testing Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to identify defects, design comprehensive test cases, and advocate for user experience excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze requirements and provide early feedback on technical design documents.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using industry-standard bug-tracking tools, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
• Contribute to the automation strategy by designing and maintaining robust automated test suites to improve overall testing efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and suggest proactive improvements to the development process.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A foundational understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical issues effectively.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging QA trends and technologies.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in test management software (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and defect-tracking systems.
• Basic knowledge of programming concepts, ideally in languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with database querying (SQL) for data validation and test setup.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and browser developer tools.
