Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo. The role involves preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), conducting detailed cost estimates, and managing budgets across various project stages. Daily responsibilities include monitoring and controlling project costs, preparing cost plans and cost reports, evaluating variations and claims, and supporting procurement and tender processes. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate cost forecasting and adherence to contractual obligations. The role also includes maintaining up-to-date documentation, providing regular financial updates to stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement of cost management processes within the company.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and measurement for construction projects.
• Strong skills in cost control and cost management, including monitoring project expenditures and implementing corrective actions.
• Proficiency in cost planning and budgeting, with the ability to develop and maintain detailed cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Experience in cost reporting, including preparing periodic financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience (typically 7+ years) in quantity surveying within building or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract and construction industry practices; experience with claims and variations is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and use quantity surveying or cost management software tools.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
