Work setup: Full-time, onsite

The opportunity

An international marketing agency, part of a larger global marketing group, is expanding its Cairo team. We are looking for a Social Media Executive & Community Manager to support daily channel management, content publishing and audience engagement across client brands' social platforms.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands platform culture, writes naturally, follows trends closely and knows how to build positive relationships with online communities while protecting the brand's tone and reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activity across assigned social media platforms, including scheduling, publishing and quality-checking content.
• Monitor comments, direct messages, mentions and conversations, responding in line with approved tone-of-voice and escalation guidelines.
• Build genuine engagement with the community and identify opportunities for proactive conversation.
• Maintain social media and community calendars, ensuring posts and campaign activity go live accurately and on time.
• Work with content, creative and strategy teams to support always-on content, product launches and campaign moments.
• Adapt captions, community responses and platform copy for different audiences and formats.
• Track recurring questions, customer sentiment, emerging issues and audience feedback, sharing insights with relevant teams.
• Escalate sensitive, high-risk or customer-service issues quickly and appropriately.
• Support social listening, trend monitoring, competitor reviews and reactive-content opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports covering community activity, sentiment, response performance and channel results.
• Support creator, influencer and user-generated-content activity where required.

What we're looking for

• Experience in social media management, community management, content or digital marketing, ideally within an agency or consumer-brand environment.
• Strong understanding of platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, Snapchat and LinkedIn.
• Excellent Arabic and English writing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and situations.
• Good judgement when handling customer comments, complaints, sensitive topics and escalation scenarios.
• Organised and detail-oriented, with experience managing content calendars and multiple deadlines.
• Strong awareness of social trends, online culture, platform behaviours and content formats.
• Experience with beauty, skincare, luxury, lifestyle, fashion, FMCG or other consumer brands is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with scheduling, listening and reporting tools is advantageous.
• Currently based in Egypt and able to work full-time onsite in Cairo.
