Role Description: The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting the organization’s financial operations in accordance with Egyptian Accounting Standards and applicable tax regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate daily accounting transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards and company financial policies.
• Prepare and submit monthly tax returns, including VAT, Payroll Tax, Withholding Tax, and Deduction & Addition Tax.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger, and customer/supplier accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain accounting records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, tax inspections, and coordinate with auditors and tax authorities.
• Generate financial reports and analysis while ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 years of practical experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards.
• Experience in preparing financial statements.
• Experience in tax compliance and filing monthly tax returns (VAT, Payroll Tax, Withholding Tax, and Deduction & Addition Tax).
• Very Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with tax inspections and auditing processes is preferred.
• Very Good proficiency in English.
