Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Cairo. The Accountant will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing journal entries in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. The role includes reconciling accounts, monitoring payable and receivable balances, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will help prepare financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant financial regulations. The role also involves coordinating with internal departments and auditors, resolving discrepancies, and contributing to accurate and timely financial data to support management decisions.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and basic forecasting to support management with accurate financial insights.
• Candidates should possess skills in using accounting and ERP software, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office tools.
• Candidates should possess skills in data analysis, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy to identify variances and maintain reliable records.
• Candidates should possess skills in communication, teamwork, and time management to work effectively with colleagues and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA or local equivalents) are an advantage.
• Previous experience in retail, FMCG, or a similar high-volume environment is preferred, with knowledge of local tax regulations and financial compliance.
• Ability to work on-site in Cairo, adapt to evolving business needs, and uphold high ethical standards and confidentiality in handling financial information.
