Role Description The General Accountant role at AHR Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The General Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting activities, including recording journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank and account balances. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and reports, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, supporting budgeting and cost tracking, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local tax regulations. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external parties, assisting with audits, and contributing to process improvements for financial efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting major) or an equivalent relevant qualification.

- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with month-end closing processes and the preparation of trial balances.

- Proficiency in Excel and experience using accounting software.

• - Prior experience in the contracting or services sector, including project cost management, is preferred.
