Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Accountant role based in Cairo. The General Accountant will handle daily accounting operations, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and managing expense reports. The role includes preparing monthly and annual financial statements, supporting budgeting activities, and assisting with cash flow monitoring. The General Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal policies, and local tax regulations, while maintaining accurate financial records and documentation. Collaboration with internal departments and external auditors is required to support timely reporting and continuous improvement of financial processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry posting, and account reconciliation.
• Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Candidates should possess skills in budgeting and cost control, including variance analysis and support for forecasting activities.
• Candidates should possess skills in tax and compliance, including understanding of local regulations, documentation, and support for audits.
• Candidates should possess skills in using accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and reporting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in general accounting, ideally within services, insurance, or assistance sectors, is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Professional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in Finance.
