Role Description The Investigations Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This position is responsible for conducting internal investigations related to incidents such as theft, fraud, policy violations, and other security concerns within the hypermarket. Daily tasks include gathering and assessing evidence, interviewing involved parties, reviewing CCTV footage and documentation, and preparing clear investigation reports. The Investigations Officer will collaborate with store management, security teams, and relevant departments to recommend corrective actions, improve preventive measures, and support compliance with company policies and local regulations. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring confidentiality, and promoting a culture of integrity and safety across the store.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and ability to assess complex situations, identify patterns, and draw logical conclusions.
• Experience in handling and documenting evidence, including collection, preservation, and secure storage.
• Criminal investigations background or related experience in security, loss prevention, or risk management.
• Clear and concise communication and report writing skills for documenting findings and presenting recommendations.
• Knowledge of basic legal and regulatory considerations related to retail operations and investigations is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, high level of integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in law, criminal justice, security management, or related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in retail or hypermarket environments is beneficial.
