Role Description The Accountant – US Market is a full-time remote role responsible for managing and overseeing accounting operations specific to the United States. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The role involves ensuring compliance with US GAAP, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with tax-related documentation, and preparing financial reports and analyses for internal stakeholders. The accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support audits, and help improve financial processes and controls to support Metaplier’s growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (Quickbox), as well as advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data, prepare clear reports, and provide accurate insights to stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
• Experience working with US-based clients or in the US market.
