MPD Well Site Supervisor

Position: MPD WSS

Role Summary: Responsible for the safe and efficient execution of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) operations at the rig site. Acts as the on-site technical authority for MPD equipment and procedures, ensuring compliance with operational, HSE, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all MPD operations on location, including rig-up, testing, drilling, tripping, and rig-down activities.
• Supervise MPD crew and coordinate daily activities with drilling, rig, and service company personnel.
• Monitor well parameters and MPD system performance to ensure operational integrity.
• Implement approved MPD procedures and contingency plans.
• Troubleshoot MPD equipment and operational issues in collaboration with engineering and technical support teams.
• Ensure accurate reporting, job documentation, and post-job records.
• Promote and maintain the highest HSE standards throughout the operation.
• Deliver client-facing technical support and operational recommendations as required.

Requirements:

• Significant experience in MPD operations, including CBHP and PMCD applications.
• Strong understanding of rotating control devices, choke systems, and pressure management principles.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience on drilling rigs.
• IWCF/IADC Well Control certification preferred.
• Willingness to work rotational offshore and/or onshore assignments.

MPD Panel Operator

Position: MPD Panel Operator

Role Summary: Responsible for operating and monitoring MPD control systems during drilling operations. Supports the Well Site Supervisor by maintaining precise pressure control and ensuring safe, efficient execution of MPD activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MPD choke control systems and associated surface equipment.
• Continuously monitor well parameters, pressure trends, flow data, and system performance.
• Assist with rig-up, pressure testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MPD equipment.
• Execute operating procedures under the direction of the MPD Well Site Supervisor.
• Identify operational anomalies and promptly communicate potential issues.
• Complete daily operational reports and equipment records.
• Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory HSE requirements.
• Participate in troubleshooting and emergency response activities when required.

Requirements:

• Experience operating MPD equipment and automated choke systems.
• Understanding of drilling operations, hydraulics, and pressure management fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret drilling and well control data.
• Strong safety focus and teamwork skills.
• IWCF/IADC certification preferred.
• Willingness to work rotational offshore and/or onshore assignments.
