Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cost Accountant role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Cost Accountant will monitor and analyze production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to support accurate product costing and pricing decisions. The role includes preparing cost reports, reconciling inventory and cost accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Cost Accountant will assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, posting journal entries, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting standards. Day-to-day tasks also involve collaborating with operations and finance teams to identify cost variances, recommend cost-saving opportunities, and improve budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications

Strong Cost Accounting skills with experience in product costing, cost variance analysis, and cost control.
Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret Financial Statements to support decision-making.
Solid Analytical Skills for data analysis, problem-solving, and identifying trends and variances.
Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger accounting, including reconciliations and month-end closing.
Foundational knowledge of Finance principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency with accounting software and Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience in manufacturing or food & beverage industries is an advantage.
