Role Description This full-time Accountant role at ‏ماركت is a hybrid position based in Suez, with part of the work performed on-site and some tasks carried out from home. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing periodic financial statements and reports. Responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable processing, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures. The role also involves assisting with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations, company policies, and tax requirements. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate financial data, support audits, and help improve financial controls and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and ability to work with digital financial tools and systems.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends.
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
