Job Title: Chief Accountant / Financial Operations Manager

A company operating in the trade and manufacturing sector announces a vacancy for an efficient and experienced Chief Accountant to manage and monitor all accounting and financial operations of the company.
The job responsibilities are not limited to recording financial transactions only, but also include cost control, cash flow optimization, maintaining profit margins, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and compliance with tax and legal requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
First: Management of Accounts and Financial Operations
* Supervise all daily accounting operations and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
* Manage general ledgers, review daily journal entries, and perform accounting reconciliations.
* Prepare and review financial statements and periodic reports.
* Supervise the closing of monthly and annual accounts.
* Ensure the application of approved financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Second: Cost and Inventory Control
* Monitor production and operating costs and ensure the accuracy of cost allocation.
* Monitor inventory and stock movement and conduct reconciliations and periodic inventory counts.
* Analyze variances between actual and planned costs and work on reducing waste.
* Monitor the cost of goods sold and profit margins.
* Coordinate with warehouse, production, and purchasing departments to ensure data accuracy.
Third: Cash Flow Management
* Monitor incoming and outgoing cash flows.
* Prepare and monitor budgets and financial forecasts.
* Monitor customer and supplier accounts and collection and payment schedules.
* Provide reports that assist management in making financial and operational decisions.
Fourth: Tax and Financial Compliance
* Monitor tax obligations and returns and ensure they are filed on time.
* Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
* Prepare documents required for internal and external audits.
* Coordinate with legal accountants and competent authorities when necessary.
Fifth: Financial Reporting and Analysis
* Prepare accurate and timely financial and administrative reports.
* Analyze revenues, expenses, profitability, and financial performance indicators.
* Prepare reports that assist in improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
* Use Excel to prepare advanced financial reports and analyses.
Sixth: Team Management and System Development
* Supervise the accounting team, distribute tasks, and monitor performance.
* Develop accounting and control procedures and improve work efficiency.
* Monitor the application of the accounting system and ensure the accuracy of data entered into it.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting major, or an equivalent qualification.
* Strong practical experience in accounting and financial operations, preferably in trade and manufacturing companies.
* Experience in cost accounting, inventory, and stocktaking.
* Experience in preparing financial statements, reports, and financial analyses.
* Proficiency in using Odoo ERP software.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Good knowledge of Egyptian taxes, laws, and accounting procedures.
* Strong skills in financial analysis, organization, and time management.
* Ability to lead a team and work under pressure.
* Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to make decisions.
