Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Advisor role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Academic Advisor will guide students in selecting suitable academic programs, courses, and pathways that align with their interests, strengths, and long-term goals. The role involves conducting one-on-one advising sessions, supporting students through application and enrollment processes, and providing ongoing academic progress monitoring. The Academic Advisor will collaborate with faculty and administrative staff, maintain accurate student records, and contribute to workshops or information sessions on academic planning and career readiness. The position also includes responding to student inquiries, offering timely advice, and ensuring that students feel supported throughout their educational journey.
Qualifications

• Strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills, with the ability to offer clear, empathetic guidance.
• Effective Communication skills, including active listening, presentation, and the ability to explain complex information in an accessible way.
• Career Counseling capabilities to help students explore options, set goals, and understand labor market trends.
• Background in Education or a related field, with knowledge of academic pathways and institutional policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are an asset.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and an inclusive, non-discriminatory advising approach.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with student information systems or similar platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Cairo, Egypt, and manage multiple advising cases in a fast-paced environment.
