El Ezz Developments is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Accounting Manager to lead and oversee accounting operations across our real estate development and construction activities.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in real estate and construction accounting, strong leadership capabilities, and proven expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, project accounting, and ERP systems.

This role requires a proactive professional capable of ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening accounting processes, and delivering reliable financial information to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Management & Financial Reporting

• Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective task allocation, performance monitoring, and accountability.

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and project accounting operations.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

• Review trial balances, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and financial adjustments.

• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting financial schedules.

• Ensure accurate accounting records across multiple projects and business activities.

Real Estate & Construction Accounting

• Oversee project cost accounting, work-in-progress (WIP), cost allocations, and project-related financial reconciliations.

• Review contractor payment certificates, subcontractor accounts, retention amounts, and advance payments.

• Monitor customer accounts, real estate installment schedules, post-dated cheques (PDCs), and receivables reconciliations.

• Ensure accurate reconciliation of project costs, supplier balances, customer ledgers, and related general ledger accounts.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Sales Operations, Collections, and Project Management teams.

Financial Controls & Compliance

• Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, approval workflows, and internal controls.

• Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards, applicable IFRS requirements, and relevant tax regulations.

• Oversee VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable tax reconciliations in coordination with the tax function.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

• Identify financial discrepancies, accounting risks, and opportunities for process improvement.

ERP Systems & Process Improvement

• Supervise accounting operations and reporting through the company's ERP system.

• Ensure accurate integration and reconciliation between accounting modules and the general ledger.

• Improve accounting workflows, reporting procedures, documentation, and data integrity.

• Develop reliable financial reports and analyses using advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Support ERP optimization, automation, and financial process standardization.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in an accounting management or supervisory position.

• Proven hands-on accounting experience in both real estate development and construction is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial closing, financial statements, and account reconciliations.

• Solid experience in project accounting, contractor accounts, customer installments, and construction-related financial transactions.

• Proven experience leading accounting teams and implementing effective internal controls.

• Hands-on experience with ERP accounting systems.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards, relevant IFRS principles, and Egyptian tax requirements.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP, including accounting module operations and reporting.

• Experience managing accounting operations across multiple real estate and construction projects.

• CMA, CPA, or relevant professional accounting certification.

• Experience improving accounting policies, procedures, and ERP workflows.
