Samy Ayed Group is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our agricultural operations in Minya, including our farm and a new agricultural food processing facility currently being planned. This is a key leadership role combining large-scale farm management with building and running a processing operation for local and export markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Farm Operations

• Manage all farm operations: planting, irrigation, fertilization, crop protection, and harvesting

• Plan production to meet export quality standards and processing needs

• Manage modern irrigation systems (drip and center pivot) and optimize water and fertilizer use

• Obtain and maintain export certifications such as Global G.A.P.

Food Processing Project

• Lead the setup of the new processing facility: feasibility, product selection, layout, equipment sourcing, and commissioning

• Build the processing team and establish production, quality, and maintenance systems

• Implement food safety systems (HACCP, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000) and obtain required licenses

• Develop processed products and coordinate with sales and export teams to reach target markets

General Management

• Prepare and control budgets for the farm and processing operations, and reduce production costs

• Lead, train, and manage permanent staff and seasonal labor

• Report regularly to group management on production, costs, and KPIs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (Horticulture or Food Science) or Food Engineering; MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus

• 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in senior management

• Proven experience in large-scale farm management and fruit production for export

• Hands-on experience in agricultural food processing (e.g. frozen, dried, oil extraction, juice, or packed fruits and vegetables)

• Experience establishing or expanding a processing plant from project stage to full operation is a strong plus

• Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000) and GlobalG.A.P.

• Experience in budgeting, cost control, and managing a large workforce

• Willing to live in site
