Role Description The Senior Business Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in desalination, water treatment, and wastewater treatment markets, including industrial and municipal sectors. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing market trends, preparing technical and commercial proposals, leading client presentations, and supporting sales negotiations. The role involves collaborating with engineering, project management, and sales teams to design tailored solutions that meet client needs and comply with industry standards. The Senior Business Development Engineer will maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, track opportunity pipelines, and contribute to strategic planning and revenue growth.

Job Description

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and achieve revenue targets.
• Identify and pursue opportunities with B2B clients, EPC contractors, consultants and major industrial players in Egypt and the Gulf region.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical-commercial proposals; manage RFQs and large-scale tenders.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to management.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and industry networking events.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in both local and Gulf markets.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure client requirements are met.
• Negotiate and close contracts while ensuring profitability and long-term client satisfaction.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

• 3 – 5 years’ work experience in Water & waste management is mandatory.
• Must have connections in Water treatment section in public and private sector.
• Creativity and analytical skills
• Good command of the English Language (Written and Spoken).
• Time management and abiding by strict deadlines.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
• Technical writing skills
• Computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Civil) or a related technical field, a master’s degree or MBA is a plus
