Job Description

WAA Consulting Group is seeking a qualified Architectural or Civil Technical Office Engineer with practical experience in industrial projects to support design coordination, tendering, quantity surveying and construction documentation.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and review architectural, civil and structural technical drawings.

• Review design drawings, shop drawings, construction details and as-built drawings.

• Coordinate architectural and civil works with structural, MEP and infrastructure disciplines.

• Prepare and review quantity take-offs, BOQs and cost estimates.

• Prepare project specifications, tender documents and technical requirements.

• Prepare RFIs, technical queries, material submittals and comparison sheets.

• Review suppliers’ and subcontractors’ technical and financial quotations.

• Identify drawing discrepancies and resolve technical and coordination issues.

• Support tender evaluation, pricing, variation orders and contractors’ claims.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and site teams.

• Conduct site visits when required to verify execution and resolve technical issues.

• Prepare technical reports and follow up on meeting decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering.

• 4–7 years of technical office experience.

• Proven experience in factories, warehouses or other industrial projects is required.

• Strong experience in shop drawings, construction details, quantity surveying and BOQs.

• Good knowledge of specifications, materials, construction methods and tendering.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

• Revit experience is preferred.

• Strong coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and reporting skills.

• Good command of English is preferred.

• Ability to work full-time from the New Cairo office and attend project sites when required.
