Game Designer

🎮 Game Designer — Full-Time

Location: Cairo, Egypt

We are a new independent game studio based in Cairo, Egypt, looking for a talented and passionate Game Designer to join our founding team.

You will work closely with programmers and artists to design and build engaging gameplay experiences from concept to playable prototype.

Responsibilities

• Design gameplay mechanics, systems, features, and player progression.
• Create and maintain Game Design Documents (GDDs).
• Design levels, missions, challenges, and gameplay flow.
• Create gameplay prototypes and test new ideas.
• Playtest the game and improve mechanics based on player feedback.
• Work closely with programmers and artists to bring designs into the game.
• Balance gameplay systems and difficulty.
• Help define the overall vision and direction of the game.
• Communicate design ideas clearly to the development team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Game Design.
• Strong understanding of gameplay mechanics and player experience.
• Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
• A strong portfolio showing previous game projects or prototypes.
• Ability to turn ideas into practical, playable game features.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Good English communication skills.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
• Experience with Unity.
• Level Design experience.
• RPG, Action, Horror, or Open-World game experience.
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge.
• Experience shipping a commercial game.
