Role Description The Procurement Specialist – French Speaker is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, requesting and evaluating quotations, and negotiating pricing and contract terms, with a particular focus on French-speaking suppliers and stakeholders. The Procurement Specialist processes purchase orders, tracks deliveries, and ensures that goods and services are acquired on time, within budget, and in line with company standards and policies. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate procurement records, coordinating with internal departments to understand requirements, and resolving order or invoice discrepancies. The role also involves monitoring supplier performance, supporting cost-optimization initiatives, and contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement workflows and systems.
Qualifications
Strong procurement and purchasing skills, including vendor sourcing, quotation analysis, negotiation, and contract administration. Proficiency in French and English, with the ability to communicate clearly with suppliers and internal stakeholders in both languages. Solid analytical and reporting abilities, including data analysis, cost comparison, and use of procurement or ERP systems. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple requests, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, purchase orders, contracts, and invoice verification. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and maintain professional supplier relationships. Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field within BPO, services, or similar industries is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Comfort with on-site work in Cairo and readiness to comply with company policies and ethical standards in purchasing and vendor management.
