Job Summary

Auto Truck Co. is looking for a Production Engineer – Assembly Line to supervise and improve assembly operations for truck and trailer spare parts.

The role focuses on the assembly of plastic parts, mirrors, lighting products, body parts, electrical components, and truck accessories.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in assembly-line production, line balancing, quality follow-up, and managing operators and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily assembly-line activities.

• Follow up production plans and daily production targets.

• Supervise assembly of:

  • Mirrors

  • Lighting products

  • Plastic body parts

  • Mudguards

  • Grilles

  • Side steps

  • Plastic housings

  • Electrical components

  • Truck accessories

• Supervise assembly operations including:

  • Drilling

  • Cutting

  • Trimming

  • Gluing

  • Bonding

  • Screwing

  • Riveting

  • Clip assembly

  • Wiring

  • Socket installation

  • Glass fitting

  • Rubber and seal installation

  • Final fitment

  • Finishing

• Ensure correct use of jigs, fixtures, templates, and assembly tools.

• Monitor fitment, alignment, dimensions, appearance, and functionality.

• Prevent scratches, deformation, incorrect assembly, and cosmetic defects.

• Coordinate with Quality Control regarding assembly defects.

• Coordinate with Injection Molding when plastic parts have dimensional or fitment problems.

• Balance manpower between assembly stations.

• Improve line cycle time and productivity.

• Reduce rework, scrap, and assembly errors.

• Develop and follow standard work instructions.

• Train operators and technicians on correct assembly methods.

• Follow up final assembly before packaging.

• Monitor production output, rejection, rework, and downtime.

• Prepare daily and weekly production reports.

• Support continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in production or assembly operations.

• Strong practical experience on assembly lines.

• Good understanding of plastic parts and injection-molded components.

• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly.

• Ability to read drawings and specifications.

• Experience with jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage operators and technicians.

• Good communication and reporting skills.
