Job purpose

The accounting services specialist at Azadea's Business Services is responsible for supporting the delivery of professional accounting services and ensuring accurate and efficient maintenance of financial records in line with company policies and procedures. He or she focuses on ensuring the accuracy of financial data and compliance with accounting standards while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accounting records to ensure data accuracy and availability for analysis and reporting.
• Identify and address routine errors in financial data, ensuring timely corrections and adherence to standards.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and timely financial information. Assist in preparing documentation required for financial and operational audits.
• Prepare routine reports based on statistical and functional metrics, adhering to specified schedules for management review. Assist in monitoring financial performance metrics to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure timely closure of general ledger accounts in accordance with the established period-end calendar. Execute necessary adjustments and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review and validate financial data to ensure alignment with company policies and accounting standards. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial inputs to maintain reliable records.
• Ensure the delivery and maintenance of a high level of customer service, meeting internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and promptly following up on requests to ensure satisfaction among internal customers.

Qualifications

Language & technical skills

Language skills

• Fluency in English.
• Fluency in French is a plus.

Technical skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience

Two to four years of experience in a similar role.
