Job description

• Oversee financial management and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with established standards.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with accepted accounting principles.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses to assess financial performance.
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to facilitate funding and financial transactions.
• Prepare documentation and requirements for financing and credit facilities, negotiating with banks as necessary.
• Monitor banking facilities and financing arrangements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Analyze the company's financial position and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Supervise accounts payable, receivable, and inventory management.
• Assist in developing financial policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws applicable in the region.
• Provide financial reports and analyses to senior management to support decision-making.

Skills

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and finance within private companies.
• Previous experience in a financial leadership or accounting role, preferably as a financial manager or deputy financial manager.
• Experience in the retail or consumer goods sector is a significant advantage.
• Strong background in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Proven experience in dealing with banks and obtaining financing and credit facilities.
• Strong analytical skills in financial analysis and cash flow management.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work with senior management.
• High negotiation skills and ability to communicate with banks and external parties.

Preferred: Professional certification such as FRIS/SOCPA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent.
