Job Advertisement – Quantity Surveyor

The company announces its desire to recruit a highly efficient Quantity Surveyor with practical experience in quantity surveying, preparation and review of payment applications, and costs for construction and commercial projects, to work within the team of the company's new commercial building project.

Work Location: Madinah.

Project Details

• Commercial building consisting of 9 floors.
• 2 basements.
• Total area exceeding 2,100 square meters.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepare a comprehensive and accurate survey of structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical works quantities.
• Review engineering drawings and technical specifications and extract quantities accordingly.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), review and update them according to project developments.
• Review contractors' and suppliers' payment applications and verify the quantities actually executed.
• Monitor costs and compare them with the approved budget and identify any financial deviations.
• Prepare and review change orders and financial claims for contractors.
• Prepare periodic reports related to quantities, costs, and progress percentages.
• Coordinate with the project manager, consultant, and contractors to ensure the accuracy of measurements and payment applications.
• Contribute to controlling project costs and reducing financial waste and overruns.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Practical experience of no less than 10 years in the field of quantity surveying for construction projects.
• Proven experience in multi-story commercial building projects; experience in projects involving basements is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and analyzing engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Excel; familiarity with quantity surveying and cost management software is preferred.
• Ability to prepare and review Bills of Quantities, payment applications, and financial claims with high accuracy.
• High analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work within a project team.
