Role Description The Safety Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Riyadh Region, responsible for promoting a safe and compliant work environment across RAM International projects and facilities. This role includes developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures in line with local regulations and company standards. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting site inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and verifying the effectiveness of safety controls. The Safety Specialist will deliver safety training to employees and contractors, lead accident and incident investigations, and prepare clear reports, statistics, and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Collaboration with project managers, supervisors, and technical teams is essential to integrate safety into all stages of project planning and execution and to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with the ability to apply relevant regulations and standards on construction and fit-out projects.
• Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) expertise, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and implementation of preventive and corrective controls.
• Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, with experience designing and delivering clear training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for diverse teams.
• Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root-cause analysis, incident reporting, and development of action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Professional certification in safety (e.g., NEBOSH Level 6 / Equivalent , ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in construction, interior contracting, or related sectors within the GCC region is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary project teams.
