JOB PURPOSE:

Support the implementation of the operational risk framework by assisting in monitoring, identifying, and documenting risks, ensuring processes comply with established risk management standards


Key Accountabilities

Description

  • Coordinate with business units to conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) workshops and assess risks and controls.
  • Document identified risks, assess control effectiveness, and follow up on gaps or control deficiencies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) database and library for all business processes.
  • Monitor and report operational incidents, losses, and near misses across all divisions.
  • Document incidents in the operational risk database and ensure timely updates.
  • Assist in root-cause analysis to identify underlying factors for major incidents.
  • Track and report the status of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor KRIs relevant to operational risks (e.g., system downtime, fraud events) and update dashboards.
  • Collect and analyse loss data to identify trends and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare incident reports and summaries for operational risk committees and management.
  • Support the business continuity management (BCM) program, including planning and testing.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of scenario analysis exercises to evaluate operational resilience.
  • Prepare operational risk reports and submit them to the operational risk manager for review.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between operational risk activities and business operations.


QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor’s or master’s in finance, business administration. Certificate: Certified Operational Risk expert, Certified Enterprise Risk specialist Certified structured Risk expert, FRM, Operational Risks examiner


EXPERIENCE

Specialist 1-2 years in human resources or relevant fields.
