Charles River Analyst

Job Summary

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in investment banking and asset management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in portfolio management systems trading workflows and risk/compliance modules with a deep understanding of multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and support business processes across asset management and investment operations.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements define solutions and support system enhancements.
• Manage and optimize workflows related to trade lifecycle management across various asset classes and markets.
• Ensure effective integration and alignment between internal systems and third-party vendors.

Domain Expertise

• Strong experience in:
  • Asset Management systems (preferably CRD / Charles River Development)
  • Portfolio Management and Investment Operations
• Coverage of asset classes including:
  • Equity
  • Fixed Income
  • Derivatives
  • Mutual Funds

Mandatory System & Functional Experience

• CRD / Charles River modules including:
  • Trade Blotter and end-to-end trade workflows
  • Manager Workbench
  • PMAR (Performance Measurement & Attribution)
  • Complex Account Group Management
• Risk & Analytics:
  • Risk attribution and analysis
  • Integration with third-party risk providers (e.g. MSCI)
  • Factor model implementation and data integration
  • Identification and resolution of data gaps between vendor and client systems
• Portfolio & Investment Functions:
  • Scenario Analysis
  • Asset Allocation
  • Security Selection Index
  • Cash Flow Forecasting
  • IBOR (Investment Book of Record)
• Corporate Actions:
  • End-to-end corporate action workflows and processing
• Compliance:
  • Investment compliance
  • Hands-on experience with CRD Compliance module

Good to Have

• Experience with:
  • MS SQL Server
  • Database querying and data analysis

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder communication and requirement gathering abilities
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
• Ability to handle complex integrations and data-driven solutions
