Roles and Responsibilities:

• to study and analyze the client's specifications and technical requirements relating to the various projects and equipment
• Identify and clarify clients' technical requirements
• Define the basics of mechanical design (codes, standards, materials, operating conditions, design conditions)
• To synthesize and capture client requirements and define the scope of the project
• Analyze the Client's technical documents (specifications, plans, calculation notes, terms of reference, etc.) to assess and define the scope of the Project and potential risks
• Implement project/client requirements in mechanical design and engineering documents.
• Participate in site visits
• Develop mechanical engineering documents (data sheets, specifications, calculation notes, plans, and other engineering documents).
• Select and size the mechanical equipment (changers, separators, compressors, pumps, piping, etc.)
• Review of ARH preliminary and final files of submitted equipment
• Verify mechanical calculations, calculation notes, and supplier drawings
• Approve manufacturers' engineering documents (plans, data sheets, calculation notes, etc.)
• Prepare the purchase requisitions for the various mechanical equipment
• Validate the conformity of suppliers' engineering documents (data sheets, specifications, drawings, ITPs) with customer, regulatory, and international standard and design code requirements.
• Ensure that all mechanical engineering designs comply with relevant international codes and standards, design criteria, and project specifications.

Required Skills:

• Reading and interpretation of plans and P&ID
• Proficient in 3D and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) as well as mechanical and piping analysis tools
• Mastery of current local regulations (ARH and others)
• Knowledge of International Standards (BPVC, B16, B31, API)
• Comp tences en Drafting
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to work on different projects simultaneously
• Rigour, autonomy and a sense of responsibility
• Written and oral communication skills in English and French
