Job description

Medico is hiring a motivated Business Development Executive to join its Marketing and Advertising team. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with experience in business development, client acquisition, and marketing solutions, particularly within the healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sectors.

Role Overview

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting revenue growth across Medico’s marketing and advertising services. The role will involve engaging healthcare and pharmaceutical organisations, understanding their communication objectives, and presenting tailored digital, creative, media, and marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Lead Generation
• Identify and research prospective clients within the healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical, wellness, and life sciences sectors
• Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, outbound communication, industry events, and digital channels
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM systems
• Qualify leads and assess client needs, budgets, timelines, and decision-making processes
• Meet or exceed agreed business development, sales, and revenue targets

Client Relationship Management
• Develop trusted relationships with clients, prospects, partners, and industry stakeholders
• Arrange and lead introductory meetings, discovery calls, presentations, and follow-ups
• Understand client objectives and recommend appropriate marketing and advertising solutions
• Maintain regular communication throughout the sales cycle and support long-term account development
• Manage client feedback and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience

Marketing and Advertising Solutions
• Present Medico’s marketing, branding, digital, content, social media, media planning, and advertising services
• Prepare tailored proposals, company presentations, capability documents, and commercial quotations
• Work with creative, strategy, content, digital, and account management teams to develop effective solutions
• Support the preparation of pitches, tenders, campaign proposals, and client presentations
• Stay informed about healthcare marketing trends, industry developments, competitor activity, and emerging communication channels

Sales Administration and Reporting
• Keep CRM records, lead information, opportunity stages, and client activity up to date
• Prepare regular pipeline, sales activity, forecasting, and performance reports
• Track proposals, follow-ups, negotiations, and contract progress
• Support commercial negotiations and ensure proposals are aligned with client requirements and company objectives

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising, Healthcare Management, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, advertising, account management, or a related commercial role
• Experience working with healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical, wellness, or life sciences clients is highly preferred
• Proven experience in lead generation, client acquisition, consultative selling, and managing a sales pipeline
• Strong understanding of marketing and advertising services, including digital marketing, content, branding, social media, and media solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong presentation, negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills
• Confident using CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and sales or marketing tools

Successful candidates will demonstrate commercial awareness, a proactive approach, strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
