Role Description The Benefits Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for administering employee benefits programs across Alameda Healthcare’s network. This role manages day-to-day benefits operations, including enrollment, changes, and terminations, while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with applicable policies and regulations. The Benefits Specialist responds to employee inquiries, provides guidance on benefits options, and supports staff in understanding coverage, eligibility, and claims processes. The role also collaborates with HR, finance, and insurance providers to resolve issues, maintain data integrity, prepare reports, and support benefits-related communications and training. This position contributes to continuous improvement of benefits processes and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day administration of Medical and Life Insurance programs for approximately 10,000 employees.
• Manage the full employee benefits lifecycle, including enrollment, additions, deletions, transfers, upgrades, downgrades, and terminations.
• Coordinate with insurance providers, brokers, TPAs, and other benefits vendors to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Monitor and follow up on medical and life insurance claims, employee inquiries, approvals, and escalations.
• Review and validate insurance invoices, premiums, employee eligibility, and monthly billing statements.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation between HR records, insurance enrollment data, and vendor records.
• Prepare regular reports and analysis related to benefits utilization, enrollment, claims, premiums, and costs.
• Support the annual medical and life insurance renewal process, including data preparation, utilization analysis, quotations, and negotiations with insurance providers/brokers.
• Monitor insurance contracts, SLAs, policy terms, and service quality.
• Analyze medical insurance utilization and claims trends and provide insights to management to support cost optimization.
• Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and other internal stakeholders regarding benefits-related matters.
• Ensure timely processing of employee additions, deletions, and changes and minimize discrepancies in insurance coverage.
• Handle employee inquiries and complaints related to medical and life insurance and ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain accurate benefits databases and records while ensuring data confidentiality.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of benefits policies and processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations related to employee benefits.
• Prepare presentations and management reports highlighting benefits costs, utilization, claims trends, and key KPIs.
• Participate in benefits projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
