Role Overview

Puffy, a market-leading, nine-figure D2C brand and Top 5 US mattress brand with over $1Billion in sales, is hiring a PPC Specialist to own the day-to-day execution of Google Ads covering brand and non-brand Search, Performance Max and Shopping, with Meta campaigns in the mix, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, PPC. This role exists to turn account data on a large, mature Google Ads account into approved, implemented improvements, building the campaign structures, optimization routines and documented workflows that let the daily loop run reliably without the Senior Manager, PPC carrying it.

• Your scope: You build campaigns from scratch across Search, Performance Max and Shopping. You run the full daily optimization loop on a large, mature account, with Meta alongside Google. And you report directly to the Senior Manager, PPC, with no layers in between.
• Your first 12 months: build and launch Google Ads campaign structures from scratch across brand and non-brand Search, Performance Max and Shopping. Take over the daily loop of search-term review, negative keywords and campaign quality checks. Bring bidding adjustments and pause, hold or scale actions forward for approval. Tighten product segmentation and feed quality with Merchant Center. Test search ad copy and coordinate landing-page A/B tests with CRO and Development. Build and optimize Meta campaigns as assigned. Document repeatable AI-assisted workflows, validated against account data. Shape the future of paid search at Puffy, where Google Ads sits at the core of paid media.

In most companies, PPC specialists inherit campaigns someone else built and spend their days tweaking bids inside them. Here, you're the person who builds the structure and explains why it performs. When the weekly paid review decides what to change next, your analysis is the reason the account moves. You'll build the judgment to design campaign structures from scratch and read what the data is actually saying — and the discipline to validate every recommendation before it touches a live campaign. Puffy has been AI-First since December 2023, so you'll build that judgment with an AI-native toolbox behind you rather than a backlog of manual checks in front of you.

What You'll Need

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience building, managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience building, managing and optimizing Meta Ads campaigns.
• Practical experience building and optimizing Search and Performance Max campaigns, with a working understanding of Shopping and product-led campaign structures.
• Demonstrated experience personally designing and building Google Ads campaign structures from scratch, with clear explanations of the setup decisions and subsequent performance. Experience limited to optimizing inherited campaigns does not meet this requirement.
• Experience personally executing and managing campaigns with a spend of USD $500,000/month.
• Strong working knowledge of keyword research, search-term analysis, negative keywords, audience signals, bidding strategies and budget pacing.
• Strong analytical skills, including experience using Google Ads, Google Analytics and Excel or Google Sheets to interpret campaign data and develop actionable recommendations.
• Understanding of CRO and A/B testing principles, including how ad messaging and landing-page experience influence campaign performance.
• Practical experience using AI tools for research, analysis or campaign execution, with the judgment to validate outputs before applying them.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills, with the ability to manage the daily campaign workflow, seek approvals and collaborate effectively in a remote team.

Good-to-Have

• DTC e-commerce experience, particularly in high-consideration categories such as mattresses, furniture, home goods or comparable high-AOV products.
• Experience running Google Ads campaigns targeting the US market.
• Hands-on experience with Google Merchant Center, product-feed optimization and resolving product or feed-related issues.
• Experience implementing or troubleshooting conversion tracking using GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
• Experience using Google Ads Editor, Google Ads Scripts, APIs or other automation tools to improve campaign management and reporting.
• Current Google Ads certification.
