Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Test Engineer to join our dynamic quality assurance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust automated and manual testing strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues early in the development lifecycle and advocate for engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Conduct thorough functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across diverse platforms.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, providing clear and actionable reports to the development team.
• Perform root cause analysis on production issues and implement preventive measures.
• Mentor junior quality assurance team members and contribute to the ongoing improvement of testing methodologies.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to provide quality-focused insights.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven track record of success in software quality assurance roles with an emphasis on complex application testing.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum.
• Experience in architecting automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, or C#).
• Extensive experience with industry-standard automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright).
• Deep knowledge of API testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Solid understanding of SQL and database management for backend validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust) is a significant plus.
