Role summary
A well-established educational institution is seeking a Group Financial Manager to oversee financial planning, reporting, The role will provide senior management with clear, timely financial information and ensure consistent finance practices across both locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and monthly financial reviews for campuses.

• Consolidate campus results and prepare management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports.

• Monitor cash flow, tuition revenue, collections, student receivables, and overdue balances.

• Oversee financial controls for payroll, discounts, scholarships, refunds, procurement, and operating expenses.

• Establish consistent procedures, approval limits, reconciliations, and reporting deadlines across both campuses.

• Review campus budgets and significant expenditure; monitor capital projects and commitments.

• Coordinate audit preparation and work with external auditors, tax advisers, banks, and other professional advisers.

• Lead and develop finance staff.

• Identify financial risks, explain variances, and recommend practical corrective actions.

• Support senior management with financial analysis for enrolment, pricing, new programs, and other business decisions.

• Maintain accurate finance records and effective use of accounting and student information systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Approximately 10 years of relevant finance experience, including several years in a managerial role.

• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, management reporting, and internal controls.

• Experience leading a finance team and working with senior non-finance managers.

• Strong Excel and ERP/accounting-system skills.

• ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.

• Higher-education or other multi-site service-sector experience is preferred; familiarity with tuition billing and student receivables is an advantage.
