Role Description The Engineering Manager (Facility background) is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm Qasr El Nile, responsible for overseeing the technical operations, maintenance, and reliability of WTCC’s building and facility systems. This role includes managing engineering teams, planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems, and coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure high service standards. The Engineering Manager will monitor facility performance, optimize energy usage, support upgrades and integrations of building technologies, and ensure compliance with local regulations and safety requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve budgeting for facility projects, preparing technical reports, collaborating with operations and events teams to support business activities, and continuously improving processes to enhance guest and tenant experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Project Management skills to oversee facility operations, maintenance programs, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Candidates should possess effective Team Leadership and Integration skills to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering staff and integrate building systems and technologies.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Software Development or building management software tools to work with digital systems that monitor and control facility operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, facility management certification) are an advantage.
• Proven experience managing complex commercial or mixed-use facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost control.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, tenants, and external service providers.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, health and safety standards, and environmental and sustainability practices in facility management.
