Role Description This full-time Agricultural Engineer role is an on-site position based in Cairo. The Agricultural Engineer will support the design, implementation, and optimization of farm systems, with a focus on irrigation efficiency, pest control strategies, and sustainable crop production. Daily tasks include conducting field assessments, providing technical assistance to farming teams, and contributing to planning activities for seasonal operations and resource allocation. The role also involves monitoring system performance, analyzing data to improve yields and reduce waste, and preparing reports and recommendations for management and field staff. The Agricultural Engineer will collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and local partners to ensure best practices are applied in all agricultural projects.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Agricultural Engineering skills, including understanding of farm systems, soil management, and crop production.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Irrigation design, operation, and optimization to support efficient water use.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Pest Control methods and integrated pest management to maintain plant health and minimize environmental impact.
• Candidates should possess Planning and Technical Assistance skills to support project scheduling, resource allocation, and guidance to field teams.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ability to work on-site in field conditions, conduct inspections, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with attention to safety and sustainable practices.
• Effective communication skills in English and local language, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
