Job Type: Full-time / Hybrid

What You'll Do

As a Transaction Specialist, you will play a key role in monitoring financial transactions, identifying potential financial crime risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements within the Fintech and money transfer industry.

• Transaction Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and clear daily transaction alerts to detect and prevent potential money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations, industry standards, and best practices.
• MSB Operations: Support and manage compliance frameworks tailored to Money Service Businesses (MSBs) and Instant Money Transfer (IMT) operations.
• Risk Management & Investigations: Identify potential compliance risks, conduct thorough investigations, document findings, and escalate high-risk cases when necessary.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to strengthen compliance controls, support compliance training, and achieve shared organizational goals.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Fintech Experience: Previous experience in the Fintech industry is a must.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance and transaction monitoring.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• University Preference: Graduates of reputable universities, such as the American University in Cairo (AUC), British University in Egypt (BUE), October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), German University in Cairo (GUC), Future University in Egypt (FUE), Misr International University (MIU), or other universities of a similar academic standard, are preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven experience working with Money Service Businesses (MSBs) and Instant Money Transfer (IMT) platforms.
• AML & Compliance Training: Completed coursework or professional certifications in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Regulatory Compliance. CAMS, ICA, or equivalent qualifications are an advantage.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of applicable legal and regulatory compliance obligations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience using compliance monitoring tools and alert management systems.
• English Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Professional Integrity: High attention to detail and a strong commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
