• Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network systems.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of all IT services.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across multiple platforms.

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and patching of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and enterprise applications.

• Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

• Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.

• Collaborate with software development and integration teams to support deployment and scaling of applications.

• Ensure security best practices are implemented, including vulnerability assessments and remediation.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes for compliance and knowledge sharing.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and IT support staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role

• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

• Expertise in administering Windows and/or Linux server environments.

• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.

• Experience with network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.

• Hands-on experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

• BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
