Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Oracle databases in production environments.
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Manage backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Implement and support RAC and Data Guard configurations.
• Apply database patches and upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Ensure database security (encryption, auditing, access control).
• Perform capacity planning and monitoring.
• Automate DBA tasks using scripting.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams.
• Participate in on-call support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments, with strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RMAN, including backup and recovery operations.
• Strong experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle Exadata architecture and administration.
• In-depth knowledge of database security, including encryption, auditing, and access management.
• Experience in database patching, including applying critical patches and updates with minimal downtime.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems, including scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring, performance management, and tuning.
• Solid understanding of database high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Experience in database capacity planning, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with the banking industry and its specific database requirements.
• Experience administering other database platforms, such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, as well as familiarity with relational and NoSQL database technologies.
• Experience with middleware technologies and database integrations.
