Strong technical knowledge of workshop equipment, maintenance strategies, equipment operation and maintenance best practices. Experience with CMMS for maintenance planning, work order management, asset tracking and reporting. Today, we are recruiting for a Depot Workshop Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility. What are my responsibilities? Develop and implement maintenance strategies, plans and inspection schedules to maximize equipment reliability and availability. Manage preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of Depot Workshop Equipment (DWE), ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards. Oversee the DWE lifecycle, including installation, testing and commissioning, maintenance and handover. Select and specify tools, machinery and equipment required for Rolling Stock (RST) maintenance. Monitor equipment performance and maintenance KPIs, identifying and implementing reliability improvements. Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Manage spare parts, consumables and inventory across warehouses and site locations. Ensure proper CMMS utilization for maintenance planning, work orders, asset tracking and reporting. Develop and update maintenance procedures, manuals and work instructions. Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel while ensuring compliance with EHS requirements. What do I need to qualify for this job? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree is an advantage. Experience in railway Depot Workshop Equipment (DWE), heavy machinery and Rolling Stock (RST) maintenance. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of 3D modelling and Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an advantage. Ability to create, read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts and technical specifications. Good spoken and written English. What else do I need to know?
