Role purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior contracts manager to join our PDS team in Egypt. This role is responsible for administering contracts for a mixed-use development. The contracts manager will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in driving successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Advise project and cost management delivery teams on contract administration.
• Manage and advise on the contractual obligations of project parties.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance in accordance with project plans.
• Prepare claim responses and variation orders.
• Negotiate claims with project parties.
• Advise on the interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
• Prepare contractual notices as appropriate.
• Prepare contract analysis reports highlighting concerns and risks.
• Prepare responses to contractual correspondence.
• Draft and issue variation instructions and orders.
• Review the contractual merit of change requests and contractors’ notices of change.
• Draft contract amendments as requested.
• Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled and proactively identify events where the client’s rights need to be safeguarded.

Experience and qualifications

• Good command and knowledge of standard forms of contract.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• 15 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Project management consultancy experience is highly advantageous.

• Ability to use a clear, systematic approach to solve complex issues and communicate solutions effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders and build relationships.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
