PetroMarine Offshore Projects Support Co. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Crewing Officer to support the safe and efficient crewing of offshore and Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessels.

The successful candidate will manage crew planning, recruitment coordination, certification compliance, travel arrangements, and crew changes. This role requires a strong understanding of offshore-vessel manning requirements and the ability to respond effectively to operational changes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate crew rotations for offshore and DP vessels.
• Recruit and screen qualified seafarers for positions aboard PSV, AHTS, DSV, and other offshore-support vessels.
• Verify seafarers’ qualifications, sea-service records, medical fitness, and vessel-specific experience.
• Maintain updated crew matrices and ensure compliance with client, charterer, flag-state, and company requirements.
• Verify STCW certificates, Certificates of Competency, DP certificates, medical certificates, passports, seaman’s books, visas, and training records.
• Monitor document expiry dates and arrange renewals or required training in advance.
• Prepare employment contracts, joining instructions, crew-change plans, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate flights, visas, accommodation, port agents, embarkation, repatriation, and other crew logistics.
• Maintain accurate employee and vessel records in the crewing management system.
• Coordinate with vessel masters, marine operations, technical departments, clients, training centers, and recruitment agencies.
• Assist with payroll information, leave balances, timesheets, and crew-related expenses.
• Ensure compliance with MLC 2006, STCW, flag-state requirements, company procedures, and applicable maritime regulations.
• Support audits, inspections, client approvals, and pre-vetting documentation.
• Respond to urgent crew replacements and operational requirements outside normal working hours when necessary.
• Maintain professional communication with seafarers and address crew concerns promptly and confidentially.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in maritime studies, business administration, human resources, or a related discipline.
• Previous crewing experience within the offshore marine or shipping industry.
• Practical experience crewing offshore or DP vessels is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of STCW, MLC 2006, seafarer documentation, crew matrices, and flag-state requirements.
• Familiarity with DP certification and offshore training requirements is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple crew changes and work accurately under time pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and crewing or maritime-management systems.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Willingness to handle urgent operational matters when required.
