Head of Mathematics

Lead and develop Mathematics teaching and learning across KS2 KS5. Teach and lead Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics, IGCSE Additional Mathematics and A Level Mathematics. Lead curriculum development, assessment and the effective use of data to drive student progress and attainment. Line manage, mentor and develop the Mathematics team. Ensure students are well prepared for Cambridge examinations and achieve strong outcomes. Promote enrichment opportunities that develop engagement and a love of Mathematics. Work collaboratively with SLT and other departments to support whole-school priorities.

Desired Candidate Profile

A degree in Mathematics or a related subject and a recognised teaching qualification. Significant secondary Mathematics teaching experience, including proven experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Mathematics. Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics. Previous experience in a Mathematics leadership or middle leadership role. A proven track record of raising student attainment and achieving strong examination outcomes. Excellent subject knowledge, pedagogy, leadership, communication and organisational skills. Experience working within a British, Cambridge or international school environment is desirable.
